CHILDREN PAINTING ON GLASS 
THE GLASS ARK AT THE EISCH GLASSFACTORY

Creativity has always been a big subject at Eisch glassfactory and this does not only mean glassproducts for Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. Eisch also wants to encourage creative young talents in the region. Therefore Eisch invited schoolchildren from the local primary school to explore the glass factory for a week. The kids had the possibility to try out themselves the glassmakers blow pipe and to bring their ideas on glass by painting glasses. The result is a wide range of coulourful, gorgeous and cheerful glasses and objects that show the enthusiasm of the young artists.

This event took place on the occasion of THE GLASS ARK dropping anchor at Eisch glassfactory by mid of April 2005. THE GLASS ARK is a project initiated by the local glass artists Ronald Fischer and Hubert Stern and should symbolize a meeting point for events, remembering the local culture and history, especially in glass making. During 2003 to 2005 the glass ark is travelling through different locations in the czech and bavarian national parks, bringing the people together for a common Europe.
